Prevention And Education

A unique programme of initiatives, aiming to inform and educate the residents of the East of Glasgow, both at an individual and community wide level, about alcohol and it’s related issues. By providing alcohol related training, presentations, workshops, information stalls and group work in a fun and interactive manner, we aim to challenge attitudes, increase knowledge and enable individuals to make safer more informed choices.

A major part of our work load is the provision of an award winning alcohol awareness programme to the schools throughout the East of Glasgow. To request an input from the prevention team please contact them on 0141 773 1222.

Group Work

We presently run a women’s group each Wednesday afternoon enabling women with alcohol issues the opportunity to gain support from each other. We recruit and train volunteers to help us deliver our various services. Volunteers do not receive payment but are reimbursed out of pocket expenses. Our board of directors is made up of local people who give up their time to support the project and we are very grateful to all our volunteers for their continued hard work.
