Prevention And Education
A unique programme of initiatives, aiming to inform and educate the residents of the East of Glasgow, both at an individual and community wide level, about alcohol and it’s related issues. By providing alcohol related training, presentations, workshops, information stalls and group work in a fun and interactive manner, we aim to challenge attitudes, increase knowledge and enable individuals to make safer more informed choices.
A major part of our work load is the provision of an award winning alcohol awareness programme to the schools throughout the East of Glasgow. To request an input from the prevention team please contact them on 0141 773 1222.
The North East C.A.S.S
The North East Community Alcohol Support Service is provided with the support of Glasgow’s Homelessness Partnership. The service works in conjunction with other agencies to support individuals in the North East of Glasgow who are affected either by homelessness or the threat of homelessness and the use of alcohol.
Befriending Services
The Befriending service provides support to individuals who have an alcohol related problem and need support to leave the home. This is achieved through individual support from Befriender’s who can assist in accompanying individuals to activities such as shopping, walking the dog, trips to the gym, cinema or accessing other agencies.
