The North East CASS

The North East Community Alcohol Support Service aims to support individuals in the community who experience alcohol problems and have associated tenancy issues.

Support is provided in the following three areas:

  1. Preventing people becoming homeless by providing support, advice, information and counselling on alcohol related issues and retaining / maintaining tenancies and independent living.

  2. Supporting people who are about to become homeless or are already homeless or are already seeking to access supported accommodation within the community of the North East of Glasgow.

  3. Providing a resettlement service for people leaving homelessness, continuing through care support, advice, information and counselling on alcohol related issues and support on moving towards independent living.

The service is available to all people living within the North East of Glasgow, whose drinking is impacting on their ability to maintain their tenancy or leave homelessness.

Referrals to the service can be self-referrals or referrals from other agencies. Referrals can be made in person, by phone or by letter.
Following referral, service users will be asked to attend an assessment interview after which an individual care plan will be drawn up.
